曲がり角（The corner）

僕は独り
底なしの青い空の下
雑草だらけの凸凹道を歩いてた。

君は独り
清らかな星空の下
花が咲く真っ直ぐの道を歩いてた。

あの曲がり角で
春に出会ってから一緒に
夏を走って
秋に戯れ
冬に寄りそう。

君は山に行きたいと言うが
僕は海に行かねばならぬので
この曲がり角でさようなら。

そもそも
あの曲がり角で
出会えたのは奇跡なのだから
僕が海から上る坂道の途中に在る
君が山から下る坂道の途中に在る
彼方に在る曲がり角で
もう一度起こるはずの奇跡を胸に
僕は独り歩いてる。
底なしの青い空の下。

Under the blue sky without the bottom,
I walked the rough way of the weediness alone.

Under the sacred starlit sky,
You walked the straight way where a flower bloomed alone.

At that corner,
After meeting you in spring,
Run the summer
played the autumn
snuggled up in winter together.

Though you say that you want to go to the mountain,
I have to go to the ocean.
So I cannot but say good-bye to you　at this corner.

Because it is a miracle that I was able to meet you
at that corner in the first place.
I am walking alone
under the blue sky without the bottom.
While thinking of the miracle that should happen once again
At a far-off corner
in the middle of the slope where I get back from the ocean,
in the middle of the slope where you withdraw from the mountain.
